Perfect Union is the latest cannabis company to create an ongoing sales-based fund to give back to the community. The California retail chain will donate $1 to a nonprofit from every purchase of pre-rolls from its in-house brand, 530 Grower. The nonprofits will change over time but will be organizations that are, according to a statement from the company, “dedicated to improving people’s lives.”  Perfect Union completed a trial of the program in May 2021 and collected $5,000 for Last Prisoner Project.

“Our mission has always been focused on providing high-quality cannabis in the spirit of service and compassion,” said CEO David Spradlin. “We’ve sponsored countless organizations and causes over the years. The Community Fund is a natural extension of our outreach efforts, and it’s a way to create a legacy for both Perfect Union and 530 Grower. This isn’t a one-time donation – it’s now a permanent part of the brand DNA.”

Founded in 2010 in Sacramento, Spradlin’s company espouses a commitment to building local partnerships that beautify the neighborhood and support the cancer community, veterans, the unhoused, domestic violence victims, LGBTQ+, animals, and the environment.

Customers can purchase 530 Grower pre-rolls at Perfect Union’s eleven branded California dispensaries, which include Marysville, Morro Bay, Riverbank, Sacramento (Northside and Eastside), Seaside, Shasta Lake, Turlock, Ukiah and Weed.
