We’re ringing in a new era of vape technology as the Blinc Group, designer of customizable vaporizers, was just granted a patent for its RingSystem technology.

Designed to “save brands thousands in lost inventory,” the RingSystem consists of two bands, one at the base of the mouthpiece and one at the base of the cartridge, known as the TopRing and the BaseRing. Before placing the cap on a compatible cartridge or disposable, operators are to snap the TopRing, which features the strain name, onto the mouthpiece of the cartridge. If producers decide to not sell the specific strain or want to tweak the formulation, they can just remove the ring.

The RingSystem was designed to combat mismatches in supply and demand that lead to unused products. This new technology is expected to minimize the waste that brands face when they cannot repurpose cartridges because of colors, logos, and strain or brand-specific content.

The Blinc Group is headquartered in New York City, with offices across North America and in Shenzhen, China. The company provides curated collections of cartridges, batteries, and other vaporizer technology to multi-state operators, licensed producers, and brands. Their RingSystem was issued patent 11116251 by the U.S. Patent and Trademarks Office.
