MJU Cannabis Cup

The next Cup will be announced soon.

MJU Cannabis Cup

The MJU Cannabis Cup (the “Cup”) is an industry-driven competition to recognize top-quality products in the marketplace. The Cup is part of the overall event at MJ Unpacked, and is produced by Farechild Events. All judging is performed exclusively by level 2+ certified Ganjier’s using their proprietary SAP evaluation protocol for flower and concentrates and a modified assessment protocol for digestibles.

Cup Entry

All products must be produced by a licensed manufacturer or cultivator in the state of Atlantic City. You must provide your license number at the time of Entry.

The Farechild Events team will contact you following your submission to confirm details. Once confirmed, all sales are final.

  • For flower, entrants will need to provide four 1/8 packaged and labeled samples.
  • For concentrates, entrants will need to provide four 1-gram packaged and labeled units.
  • For digestibles, entrants will need to provide four packaged and labeled samples.

Evaluation

A minimum of (3) level 2 certified Ganjier’s will evaluate each product independently.

Any product that is visually inspected to contain any defects (spider mites, mold, etc.) may be disqualified from the judging. No mention of any disqualified product will be shared publicly, but feedback will be provided directly to the Entrant. No refund will be provided to an Entrant if they fail to submit a product or it is disqualified.

Awards

Awards will be given to the first place and runner-up in each category. Winners will be announced live at the event.

While we recognize the challenges around categorizing flower as indica, sativa, or hybrid, we know this is the predominantly used sub-segmentation used for flower. So, in addition to awards for each strain category, we will also present awards based on the four categories that have been reconfirmed via scientific scrutiny (University of Southern California study) as the primary aroma categories identified within cannabis flower by cannabis consumers.
